  • Along with Barbudo, Ever were one of Spain's

    biggest producers of eyewear and the 1970's

    was their peak period. We've had others of

    theirs before and the women's pairs were

    similarly big and bold - check out this wild

    shape called Terra Nova in the women's pages.

    This men's pair obviously less outre; the brutish

    slab keeps it butch and it's BIG, so check size

    before you buy. Jersey means jumper in Spanish

    so the name is probably geographical - Ever were

    keen on place names. So it's the Channel Islands...

    or at a push, New Jersey, east of New York.
