• The woodgrain effect on frames was
  
  very popular in the 1960's and we have
  
  come across a lot. They sell quickly and
  
  are very collectible - probably because
  
  not many have survived. In this pair the
  
  brown woodgrain has been added as a
  
  layer onto a rich, brown plastic under-
  
  layer, that peeks out around the eyepieces.
  
  Samco probably the best known of the
  
  Italian eyewear manufacturers of the
  
  1950's-1970's.
