info

In 1966 Wilhelm Anger's firm in Austria obtained the licence to

make eyewear for the Christian Dior brand which they secured from

Tura (USA). Anger had by then patented his new plastic Optyl and

and most Dior frames and sunglasses were made in this innovative

material. This frame dates from 1977 as we can see it in this ad

from that year - bottom right. Ours in a different colourway of

mottled dark brown blending to dark amber. Raised silver metal

CD logos adorn the outside of each temple. Doesn't appear to

have been worn very much as the branding and frame info on the

insides is like new.
