info Only a few years ago Neostyle's website had a lot more information about their history (since 1961!) but it has since been taken down. They still mention chief designer since the 70s, Konstantin Livas - who probably designed this Sunart 10 and say he's still there. But it seems now they'd rather not celebrate the past, except to remake a metal pair that Elvis used to wear. So you'll have to rely on us and the like for lost history. The Sunart range was spectacular and the 775 is a great example. It is made from aluminium the front having a linear fade from orange to pale salmon with sides of silver, low set as was the fashion in the second half of the seventies. It's been given a brushed matt finish except the side joints which are polished. With the gradient mid- brown lenses the overall effect is stunning. Neostyle's website previously told us that besides Elvis, they have fans as diverse as Queen Elizabeth, kd lang, Evel Knievel, George Bush, Moby and The Four Tops - so you'll be in good company! — klasik |
