info
Only a few years ago
Neostyle's website had a lot more
information about their history (since 1961!) but it has
since been taken down. They still mention chief designer
since the 70s, Konstantin Livas - who probably designed this
Sunart 10 and say he's still there. But it seems now they'd
rather not celebrate the past, except to remake a metal pair
that Elvis used to wear. So you'll have to rely on us and the
like for lost history. The Sunart range was spectacular and
the 10 was one of the highlights. It is a VERY large frame -
check sizes right - however we still think it was made for
women due to the modest bridge size, but hey, don't let that
put you guys off. A great combination of style and quality
with the pale green lenses light enough to show off your eyes.
The frame colour is difficult to describe: a mottled grey/brown
with some mauve, we think. It is semi-translucent, so doesn't
look too heavy, despite the dimensions. Neostyle's website
previously told us that besides Elvis, they have fans as diverse
as Queen Elizabeth, kd lang, Evel Knievel, George Bush, Moby
and The Four Tops - so you'll be in good company!
